Clinch Mountain Bodywork (“C.M.S”, the “App”) is the appointment-booking and messaging app for the massage practice of Josh Robinson, sole proprietor (“the Practice”, “we”, “us”). This is the single, authoritative privacy policy for the App and for the C.M.S text-messaging program; no other privacy policy applies. It explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what is needed to schedule appointments and communicate with you. We do not sell your information, and the App contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking.
The App does not access your contacts, location, camera, photos, or microphone.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we never sell or rent it.
We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
How you opt in. Your phone number is used to send a one-time verification code when you sign in. You consent to ongoing text notifications only by ticking the separate SMS-consent checkbox on the sign-in screen (unchecked by default), or by choosing “Text message (SMS)” in the App’s notification settings. If you do not opt in, we do not text you notifications. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any service.
What we send. Transactional messages only: one-time sign-in codes, appointment confirmations and reminders, and alerts when the Practice sends you a message. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.
Message frequency varies with your bookings (typically 2–3 messages per appointment). Message and data rates may apply.
Opt out. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts, or switch your notification preference to push notifications in the App’s settings. Note that a sign-in code may still be sent by SMS when needed to access your account.
Help. Reply HELP to any message, or contact us at the address below.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
To run the App we rely on a small number of service providers who process information solely on our behalf and under our instructions. They are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes, and none of them receive your mobile number or consent data for marketing or promotional use:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Railway | Application hosting and database storage |
| Twilio | Transmitting the text messages described above |
| Expo | Delivering push notifications to your device |
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety and rights of our clients or the Practice. We do not otherwise disclose your personal information to anyone.
Messages you send and notes the Practice keeps may include health-related details relevant to your massage care (for example injuries or areas to avoid). We treat this information as sensitive: it is visible only to you and the Practice, transmitted over encrypted connections, and never used for any purpose other than providing your care.
We keep your account information, appointment history, and messages while your account is active, so the Practice has an accurate record of your care. Sign-in codes are single-use and short-lived. When your account is deleted, your personal information is deleted or anonymized, except where we are required to retain records (for example business or tax records of completed appointments).
Depending on where you live, you may have additional legal rights over your personal information (such as rights of access, portability, deletion, or objection). To exercise any of these, contact us at the address below and we will respond as required by applicable law.
All communication between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Sign-in codes are stored only as cryptographic hashes, sessions use signed tokens, and access to appointment details and messages is restricted server-side so that clients can never see other clients’ information. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Appointments for minors should be arranged by a parent or guardian through their own account.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and notify you through the App. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
